Whilst carrying out routine maintenance on waterless urinals, we continuously came across urinals with rudimentary measures put in place for social distancing.
Bin bags and gaffer tape that was being stuck across urinals was causing damage to paintwork and leaving a sticky, hard-to-remove residue on the urinal bowls. It didn’t actually stop anyone from using the urinal and on occasion looked extremely unsightly.
After receiving a request for a more appropriate and effective measure for enforcing social distancing whilst maintaining the professional appearance of their washrooms, we developed STOPWRAP™
This disposable urinal cover comes in a roll which simply stretches over the urinal bowl and naturally clings to the sides, sealing it off from use.
This opaque white urinal wrap means you cannot see the contents of the bowl when it is sealed off and the message informs patrons that the urinal bowl is not to be used – and ensure that it can’t be!
The urinal isolation wrap (which comes in a 100m roll) has the message repeated every 600mm – enough to cover with a ‘DO NOT USE’ message on at least 100 urinals.
It has even been used on WCs, sinks, hand dryers, phone kiosks and seating areas.
It is easy to apply in approximately 30 seconds (after you have cleaned the urinal bowl) with minimal waste. If you need to remove it to get access to the urinal, it is inexpensive to reapply and with minimum impact on the environment. The wrap can be recycled anywhere that accepts plastic bags or disposed off along with your normal waste stream.
