At TWC Facilities, we’re always looking for simple ways to make the spaces we look after more supportive for the people who use them. That’s why we’re pleased to be working with Tackle Prostate Cancer, a UK charity supporting people living with and affected by prostate cancer.
Raising awareness
As part of this, we’re adding QR code stickers to our male hygiene bins across sites. It’s a small change, but one that can make a real difference, giving people quick, discreet access to information about local support groups.
Helping people find support
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men and trans-women every year, and the risk is doubled for men from black communities. It’s not always easy to know where to turn. By placing information in accessible, private spaces, we hope to make it that bit easier for those who might not otherwise seek support.
Through Tackle Prostate Cancer, users can find groups offering:
• A chance to speak with others who understand
• Shared experiences from people who have been through similar journeys
• A safe, welcoming space to talk and listen
• Ongoing peer support during and after treatment
More than just facilities
For us, it’s not just about maintaining washrooms, it’s about looking after the people in them too. This is one small way we can help raise awareness and support wellbeing day to day.
We’re proud to play a part in this initiative and support the work Tackle Prostate Cancer does across the UK.
