Looking good all! The South West Hygiene team have been wearing pink for Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear It Pink Day’. Building awareness to help make life-changing breast cancer research and support happen.
Not only did the team wear pink but they also turned their website and social media platforms pink for the day to boost visibility of this vital cause.
Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink Day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people wear it pink in their communities, schools and work places for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
They are on a mission to make sure that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well.
Supporting communities
Not only have South West Hygiene supported the Wear it Pink Day in October. Over the last month they have also:
- Donated sanitary products and first aid kits to both Nightingales UK who deliver life-saving medical aid to the military frontline and hospitals in Ukraine, and Pensilva Food Hub.
- Supported Liskeard and Looe Foodbank by supplying them with toilet rolls, helping to make a difference in our local community.
